PLAYFUL PETS 2022
  • Entries accepted from 19.08.22 until 02.09.22 20:00GMT
  • Worldwide entries accepted
  • Multiple entries accepted per individual
  • You must own the copyright (taken the photo yourself) for each photograph submitted and express permission for me to (a) use it to draw from should it be selected as winner and (b) for promotional use during the competition and (c) any future promotional use. This will be confirmed during when you send each entry
  • The prize is a pencil portrait between 12"x10" x 20"x16" for single or multiple subjects worth between £250-500. Sizing will be determined as to best suit the winning photo. The prize will be treated as I would any commissioned portrait order, and the value will be confirmed once the winner is decided. No alternative will be offered.
  • Prize includes postage
  • Winner will be selected by the artist Andrew James Holmes
  • The artist decision is final
  • Winner will be contacted and announced within 72 hours of competition closing
  • In terms of contact details, an email address will be used to identify your entry. Any additional contact details will also be stored with your entry
  • Any personal details submitted during in the competition will be kept securely on file until the prize has been fulfilled and the competition fully closed, after which they will be deleted
  • I reserve the right to change and/or cancel this competition at any time. Any changes will be detailed below.

Playful Pets Limited Edition print Competition 2017 (CLOSED FOR ENTRIES)

  • Winner will be drawn and notified within 24 hours of closing
  • Worldwide entries accepted
  • Individuals who submitted details when voting for the runner-up will automatically be entered
  • Only entrys made by using the competition form on this website will accepted
  • Strictly one entry per person. Multiple entries by the same person will be deleted
  • All details requested on the form must be supplied. Any entry without a full name and email will be deleted
  • Phone number and address are not required, however it is recommended that they are entered. It is assumed that you will provide your address should your entry be selected as the winner, in which case I will contact either via email or phone to confirm.
  • If an address is not submitted, the winner must respond within 7 days after the winner is drawn to confirm address. If no response is received, then the prize will be forfeited and the competition will be drawn again to select a new winner.
  • Your detail will be kept confidential, and destroyed once the competition has finished. If you agree to subsbribe to the Newsletter, only your email address will be kept on file. Your details will not be used for any other reason, or distributed to third parties
  • The prize is a Limited Edition, eitherof the print titled 'SPLASH' or 'DOUBLE TROUBLE'. The prize with be dispatched within 28 days of the winner confirmation

 Playful Pets 2017 competition (VOTING NOW CLOSED)

THE FINAL 16
This phase of the competition is to decide the runner up (or second place) of Playful Pets 2017

  • The photo which received the most votes (after verification and duplicates voided) will be declared winner of the voting phase, and therefore runner-up of Playful Pets 2017
  • The prize will be a pencil portrait of the winning photo either 12”x12” (worth £250) or 16”x12” (worth £300) or a custom size (worth from £250) depending on which would suit the final portrait best
VOTING

  • Voting opens Monday 26th June 19:00GMT
  • Voting closes Sunday 2nd July 20:00GMT
  • Only votes placed using the online form will be accepted
  • All boxes must be completed (name, email, address and contact number) to be accepted
  • Individuals can vote for up to 3 photos
  • Only one entry per individual into the follow competition, regardless of number of votes
  • Multiple votes by the same individual on the same photo will be declared void
  • In the event of a tie, the artist Andrew James Holmes will cast the deciding vote
  • Finalists can vote for their own and other photos, as can their friends and family
FOLLOW-UP COMPETITION

  • The follow-up competition will be run once both the winning portrait and runner-up portrait are complete
  • All individuals who voted for the runner-up will be automatically entered into this draw
  • Worldwide entries are accepted

SUBMISSION (NOW CLOSED FOR SUBMISSION)
  • Competition for entries opens 16:00GMT Saturday 3rd June 2017.
  • Last enrty by 19:00 GMT Tuesday 20th  June 2017.
  • By submitting an entry, you confirm that you own the copyright, or have consent from the owner of the photo, and that you give me permission to (a) use the photograph during promotion of the competition during shortlist selection and voting phases, (b) to create your artwork using the photograph is selected as a winner, and (c) to freely use the photograph during promotion after the competition is complete.
  • Worldwide entries are accepted.
  • Friends, family and others associated with Captured in Pencil are able to enter the competition.
  • You can send as many photos as you like, though only one photo can be selected during shortlist selection per individual.
  • Only entries supplied with a full name and address, phone number and email address will be accepeted.
  • Your details will be kept confidential. You agree to receive promotional emails from Captured In Pencil. Your details will not be passed onto third parties.

PRIZES
  • 1st prize - a portrait worth at least £350, either a square mounted 16"x16", a long 20"x16" or custom size, whichever is best suited to the final drawing. This prize will be awarded to my overall favourite photo from all entries submitted.
  • 2nd prize - a portrait worth at least £250, either a square mounted 12"x12", a long 16"x12" or custom size, whichever is best suited to the final drawing. This prize will be awarded to the entry which receives the most public votes from a shortlist of my other favourites.
  • 3rd prize - a limited edition print of 'Again Please' worth £50. This will be a randomly selected entry from all entries submitted.
  • The winning portraits will also be available as Limited Edition prints.


CHANGES TO TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR PLAYFUL PETS 2017
I reserve the right to alter these terms and conditions. Any changes made will be outlined below and dated.
  • (20.06.17) Competition dates were changed due to technical difficulties, allowing an extra 2 days for entries.

'Lucy the Rescue Cavalier' Competition 2017 (CLOSED FOR ENTRIES)

  • Competition closing date 13.02.2017 (last entrant by 22:00GMT)
  • Winners will be drawn and notified within 24 hours of closing
  • Worldwide entries accepted
  • Only entrys made by using the competition form on this website will accepted
  • Strictly one entry per person. Multiple entries by the same person will be deleted
  • All details requested on the form must be supplied. Any entry without a full name, address, phone number and email will be deleted
  • Your detail will be kept confidential, and destroyed once the competition has finished. Your details will not be used for any other reason, or distributed to third parties
  • The prize is a Limited Edition print of the drawing 'Lucy the Rescue Cavalier'. The prize with be dispatched within 28 days of the winner confirmation

'Toby the Springer' Competition 2016 (CLOSED FOR ENTRIES)

  • Competition closing date 15.09.2016 (last entrant by 23:59GMT)
  • Winners will be drawn and notified on Sunday 16th October
  • Worldwide entries accepted
  • Only entrys made by using the competition form on this website will accepted
  • Strictly one entry per person. Multiple entries by the same person will be deleted
  • All details requested on the form must be supplied. Any entry without a full name, address, phone number and email will be deleted
  • Your detail will be kept confidential, and destroyed once the competition has finished. Your details will not be used for any other reason, or distributed to third parties
  • The prize is a Limited Edition print of the 'Toby the Springer 2016' drawing (to be renamed). The prize with be dispatched within 28 days of the winner confirmation

"10,000 Likes" Competition 2016 (CLOSED FOR ENTRIES)

  • Competition closing date 24.09.2016 (last entrant by 23:59GMT)
  • Winners will be drawn and notified on Sunday 25th September
  • Worldwide entries accepted
  • Only entrys made by using the competition form on this website will accepted
