LUCY THE RESCUE CAVALIER
by Andrew James Holmes
This drawing of Lucy the Rescue Cavalier was created to help raise awareness of puppy farming, just as she does through social media. The original drawing has now been auctioned, with proceeds being donated to Friends of the Animals Wales, her chosen charity. A portion of sales of Limited Edition prints will also be donated to the charity.
Sadly however, since this drawing was completed, Lucys passed away suddenly early in December 2016. Her legacy continues however, with her Facebook page still going strong in the campaign against puppy farming and other causes.

Work in progress
This is a work in progress series of photos to show how the drawing was created.
I use a range of Pentel mechanical pencils with Pentel Ain Stein leads on cartridge paper. I also use tortillions and cotton wool to help with blending, and erasers and eraser pencils in correction and white highlights. |
